Glass Bulb Fusible Links
The model FL FIRE LINK Glass Bulb Fusible Link offers one of the fastest thermally activated links in the fire protection industry. It’s special slim design makes the FIRE LINK an attractive alternative for areas where automatic fire detection is required. The body is made from high strength brass alloy which can withstand the continous high loads demanded in many applications. The FIRE LINK utilises a 5mm glass bulb, thus improving the sensitivity of this link over any other currently available, as well as offering the advantage of improved corrosiion resistance over many solder based links.
The link is held together by the glass bulb, which breaks upon heating to it’s predetermined operating temperature. The load on the link then separates the two body halves, providing a reliable response to fire and overheating.
